In 1787, Deacon Nathaniel Smith and Capt. Silas Kimberly were to divide the estate to widow Mary, and eight children, distribution recorded at New Haven, Dec. 20, 1790. Widow was left land at Westfield. Nathaniel to have the cooper shop; the other children named as below.

"One third of the sloop 'Bachelor', value # 10, belongs to the estate." (See Agreement 4)." (Lineage Book of "Daughters of American Colonists")

"Mary Lyon, b. 1766, died 1817, mar. John Beecher, b. 1754; d. 1784. She was dau. of William Lyon and Elizabeth Maltby, dau. of Nathaniel Maltby and Deborah Jones. They were m. in 1779."
